The Springfield MSA is a major center for higher education in Missouri. The region’s colleges and universities offer quality liberal arts programs as well as business, technical and medical programs, pre-engineering, pre-med, pre-law, architecture and religion.

Noncredit, continuing education courses are also available as well as industry-specific customized training programs.

Marshfield R-1 School District

The Marshfield School District serves approximately 3,000 students in its Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade programs.  The district’s purpose is to prepare each student for a successful future.  In order to meet that mission, the district utilizes up to date technology, varied programs, and an outstanding teaching and support staff to grow students into productive young adults.  At the elementary level (K-5), there is a strong focus on literacy and mathematics along with all students participating in the Leader In Me program.  Students in secondary schools (6-12) have opportunities to experience project-based learning, participate in Project Lead the Way, and in place-based internships (through the Greater Ozarks Center for Advanced Professional Learning – GOCAPS) and/or vocational training through OTC or locally offered programming.  This combination of opportunities – along with online education options and a robust co- and extra-curricular activity program – help us to prepare our graduates for success in whatever career they choose to pursue in the future economy of higher educational skills and advanced technology.

Ozarks Technical Community College (OTC)

Ozarks Technical Community College (OTC) provides affordable, accessible educational opportunities that transform lives and strengthen communities. As Missouri’s third-largest community college, OTC offers over eighty (80) degree programs including Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, Associate of Applied Science and Certificate of Achievements. Missouri State University (MSU)
